| 30 June 1894 A month after the boy went to Saltley, his father got into trouble, as reported in the County Advertiser and Herald for Staffordshire and Worcestershire Saturday 30 June 1894 p.5 col.6: John Cartwright, the elder. Stourbridge, was summoned to show cause why he should not contribute to the maintenance of his son, John Cartwright,jun.,. who was now in :Saltley Reformatory. Defendant offered to pay ninepence . a week, and order was made accordingly, with costs, 5s. | |
