Circumstances Leading to Death (Normally from War Diary)
On January 9, 1918 Archibald was flying a Bristol F2 Fighter of the 48th Squadron with his observer when they were shot down while taking photographs over enemy lines over Nauroy. The German army buried him at Nauroy and his remains were moved to Joncourt.| Personal & Family History |
