Circumstances of Death

William was discharged from the army as medically unfit due to Epilepsy on 21 Sep 1916. 

On 2nd November 1917 William died of General paralysis of the insane (dementia paralytica) which was a fatal disease that affected the brain and central nervous system and was caused by syphilis infection. 

At the time of his death William was an inmate at County Asylum in Hatton.
