Circumstances Leading to Death (Normally from War Diary)
The war diary reveals that the 20th Div Ammunition Column were in a camp in the area of Gouv-Sevins when they were attacked by hostile aircraft who bombed the camp causing casualties of 5 deaths and 30 wounded. William was one of those killed.
