Circumstances of Death

Richard enlisted for Home Service on 5th January 1915 aged 57 as a Private in 10th Reserve Cavalry Regiment. He was promoted to Sergeant on the same day. Richard's army records are somewhat confusing but we believe he was discharged from the Army on 8th June 1917. 

Richard died on 9th January 1918 in Warneford Hospital, Leamington Spa of Papilloma of the Bladder and Uremic Poisoning aged 61. He is described as an Army Pensioner living at 39 Tachbrooke Road, Leamington Spa.
