Circumstances of Death

Robert died of natural causes / desease at a 48th (South Midland) Division Field Ambulance on 8th July 1916. His death rather being killed or dying of wounds is confirmed by the 1st/7th Battalion war diary where he is listed as having died rather than being killed in action.
