Circumstances of Death

Ernest was medically discharged from the Army on the 10th August 1918 suffering from illness. He had enlisted in the army on 25 July 1914 as a Bandsman aged 14. He arrived in France on 24 April 1917 having reached the age of 18. On 3rd July 1918 he was invalided back to the UK suffering from Tuberculosis from which he died on 16 December 1918 at home, 11 Hitchman Road, Leamington Spa.
