Circumstances of Death

William is listed as dying of wounds at the 39th General Hospital at Lille. His pension card states that he received gunshot wounds to the chest and back. We have not been able to identify when and where William was wounded before being evacuated out of theatre to Lille and therefore cannot comment on the circumstances leading to his being wounded.
