Circumstances of Death

William first served in France before being posted to India on 21 July 1917. He because ill with pneumonia in India and was sent back to England and was discharged from the army on 31 March 1920 before he died of Dysentery and Rheumatic Fever on 18th Jun 1920 at the Warneford Hospital, Leamington Spa.

We have not been able to identify an official War Grave for William despite the fact that he died from illness contracted on active service.
