Circumstances Leading to Death (Normally from War Diary)
The battalion were in the lines near Armentieres when at 4am they were ordered to move to Avile D'Alieniens. At 8am they came under fire and attack from the German lines. At 3.30pm they were ordered to advance on Houplines. War diary records one man was killed during the day who would have been Frederick.
