Trenches - Sucrerie-Mailley – 1 Aug 1915: A Coy shelled during the night without damage. Draft arrived in trenches, 3 officers, 115 men. [Weather] Fine. 126th Battery R.F.A covers our front. Sucrerie-Mailley – 2 Aug 1915: Quiet night & day. A few German shells during the day on support trenches. Heavy rain at 6 o’clock made trenches in a very bad state, got to work on them. Sucrerie-Mailley – 3 Aug 1915: Heavy storms all day. Trenches in very bad state. New system of cooking started back on road & no cooking in the trenches.
