Circumstances of Death

In April 1919 Ernest was invalided home from India, where he had spent the entirity of WW1, with Malaria and died at home of heart failure complicated by the Malaria on 14th October 1919. 

He was awarded the Meritous Service Medal for his valuable service in India in connection to the war [WW1]. He was a well known military instructor and was attached to Wellington College in Nilgiris, Tamil Nadu. The college trained Cadets in much the same way as Sandhurst.
