  • Arthur was part of the original mobilisation of the battery and was a member of the 1st/1st Ammunition Column.

Circumstances of Death

Arthur is listed as being killed in action in the field on 2nd August 1917. Unfortunately the July and August sections of the 15th Brigade war diary are missing and we have been unable to find any specific information about what happened the 1st/1sdt and/or Arthur on that day.

The Warwickshire Roll of Honour book states that Arthur was killed with two other men by an enemy shell.
