Circumstances Leading to Death (Normally from War Diary)
We cannot ascertain from the war diary and other records whether Arthur was killed in action or died of wounds. The war diary for the day he is said to have died does not mention any casualties. On the 19th July the battalion took part in an attack on enemy lines at Farquissart.
