It should be noted that the inscriptions on this memorial are in a terrible condition and are barely, if at all, readable. A report has been made to the War Memorials Trust in the hope that they can take steps to clean/repair the memorial.

This memorial was originally created by Shrewley Congregational Church and hung there until, sometime before 1999, the Church was closed and turned into a private residence. It is now stored at Shrewley Village Hall.
