Circumstances of Death

Roderic died of wounds aboard HM Hospital Ship Nevassa on 21 October 1915 which was just 13 days after the 1st/1st Welsh Horse arrived in Anzac Cove. The only entry made in the 1st/1st War diary is dated 8th October 1915 and there is nothing further reported until 20th November 1915. Therefore we are unable to describe the events leading to Rodericks orginal wounding. He was buried at sea and is commemorated on the Helles Memorial.
